The 9th generation ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 will delight even the most demanding tech enthusiasts. We've rethought the placement of the pen on the device. The even larger Lenovo Slim Pen, inspired by a carpenter's pencil, attaches magnetically to the side of the keyboard frame so it's always within reach. Sketching, taking notes, or using apps with precision is now even easier. And best of all? When you close the notebook, the pen stays attached, even when you're carrying it around.

Our legendary keyboard, just got better
Our redesigned ThinkPad keyboard now features tactile markings so visually impaired people can easily find the right keys. We've moved the fingerprint scanner to the keyboard, resulting in a larger sensor for a better experience. Plus, our TrackPad is now even larger at 4.75 inches. You can still navigate with our popular red TrackPoint—but a double tap opens the ThinkPad TrackPoint Quick Menu to tweak audiovisuals, set mute alerts, and even take notes with the Dictation toolbar for convenient speech-to-text transcription.

The 9th Gen ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 laptop uses 75% recycled aluminum on the top cover. The bottom cover is a mix of 55% recycled aluminum and 45% hydroaluminum. The keyboard frame is 90% recycled magnesium or 75% recycled aluminum on the WWAN models. Plus, many of the components used to create this notebook are based on post-consumer recycled PCC (PCC) plastic, from the speaker enclosure to the power adapter to the keycaps and more. Packaging is 100% plastic-free and made partly from rapidly renewable materials made from bamboo sugarcane fibers.

New levels of collaboration
A communications bar houses two on-display cameras. Choose the premium option for the combination 8 MP and infrared Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI) webcam with computer vision.
